Tivo

Posted in: Technology

After much debate over building my own digital video recorder/MP3 jukebox computer or just buying a Tivo, I finally got the Tivo. It’s all set to record the West Wing, Ed and every baseball game and golf event this week. It was very cool to be able to pause my show this evening to go make some food. This is the sort of fantastic product that redefines the way you do something in a very fundamental way. After only 1 day, I can’t imagine watching TV without it. I am very impressed with what appears to be a very well done product, although I still think it sucks that you have to pay a monthly fee for a data feed you can get for free.
