  1. Carry On

I was excited for 2 reasons when I saw that the Alana Davis‘s version of Carry On from the Sony super bowl commercial was available for download for $.99. First, I’m a Crosby, Stills & Nash fan and Carry On is a great song and this is a good rendition of it – but it…

  2. More President Bush Humor

This was sent to me by a friend today, had to share: Washington, DC (Reuters) — A tragic fire has destroyed the personal library of President George W. Bush. Both of his books have been lost. The president is reportedly devastated, as he had not yet finished coloring the second one.

  3. Top of the mountain, briefly…

For part of the day today (maybe yesterday as well?), I was the top link if you searched for alex king on Google. Now the Rugby guy is back on top. Not bad though, I’ve gone from non-existent to the top 2 in just a couple of months.

  4. Sprint Wireless Connection

Sprint seems to drop the wireless connection every 20 minutes or so (using the Treo Wireless Modem software). Not a huge deal but a bit of a hassle. Last night I was connected for 50+ minutes though, maybe if there is data being actively transferred at the 20 minute mark it stays alive or something…

  5. On Vacation

I’m enjoying my vacation in fozen Minnesota. The wedding we attended was quite nice and it’s been lots of fun seeing friends and family. Thank goodness for Scott Gruby’s Wireless Modem software for the Treo. Been doing some reading about RSS, semantic documents and XHTML. I think my tasks documentation (I’m working on it, honest)…

  6. Super Bowl

Well, I predicted that if the Bucs could pressure Gannon, they’d win, but I thought the game would be more like 20-17. Gotta hand it to Gruden and the Bucs. Simeon Rice is my pick for player of the game.

  7. RSS is cool!

I’m learning more about this whole RSS thing, it is way cool! I may end up looking for a web based aggregator to use on Windows because I haven’t found anything nearly as well done as NetNewsWire on Windows. It would be nice to have this available from wherever anyway. Suggestions for a good web…

  8. Baseball is pissing me off!

Now, I don’t want to get off on a rant here… but I still can’t figure out why if Pete Rose admits to doing the very thing that got him banned from baseball for life, he will likely be reinstated. If Bud Selig won’t stand up and say "Betting on baseball is completely unacceptable and…

  9. A flute with no holes is not a flute…

…and a doughnut with no hole is a danish. Thanks to everyone who’s sent in suggestions for my tasks app. I plan to add many of them in to the next version. The biggest thing I need to do is write up some solid documentation: how to use it. how to deploy it and how…

  10. Random

I’m on the lookout for really good step-by-step tutorials that describe how to install and configure PHP and MySQL on a Windows box. I’m looking for a suitable counterpart to these great Mac OS X "how to"s (PHP, MySQL). I heard this song Sunday morning on KFOG‘s acoustic sunrise show. I was driving along thinking…

  11. tasks 1.0…

…is released. It’s my web-based, heirarchical, task management software, go check it out. This post is part of the project: Tasks Pro™. View the project timeline for more context on this post.
