Dangit, I just wrote a lengthy reply to this and hit Cmd-Q when I tried to hit Cmd-A to copy and paste the text into a file in case it didn't post correctly or something. I will type it up again later when I have a chance...

Alex-
I read your blog for the tech commentary and photography, but I have to disagree on your war stance, if I'm interpreting it correctly.

It seems to me that the "peace protesters" are only interested in sticking their heads in the sand, and pretending the plight of the average Iraqi doesn't exist. The average Iraqi wants Saddam out, calls him a 'butcher', and welcomes the American troops, as you can read here, here, or hear here.

All I've seen from the war protesters is the naieve view that war in itself is the problem. Let me make a note of this: I don't like war, I don't think anyone does. Sometimes, however, it is a necessity to overturn wrong.

If someone was willing to explain how to remove the liar and murderer who is the leader of Iraq without war, I'd be willing to listen. However, cheap, trite slogans such as 'no war for oil', or 'it's all about oil', or 'Bush is Hitler' aren't going to do it for me.
