b2 to become WordPress

Posted in: Software

Michel is turning over the reins to Matt and Mike at the previously mentioned WordPress to continue b2 development. I think these guys are going to do a great job and I look forward to migrating to WordPress in the next couple of months. I imagine (hope) some of the functionality from my b2 hacks will be included in the standard WordPress release. They certainly have my blessing to do so (cleaning them as needed of course ;) ). I think this is excellent news.

Your calendar code will probably be some of the next stuff we add. The goal with “hacks” is to have them so seamlessly part of the whole that they’re indistinguishable from everything else. Thanks for the support! :)
