This is a good thing. Seattle is getting whooped by KC, this is a bad thing.

Griffey Jr. out for the season, this is also a bad thing. Kid had a chance to be the best ball player ever if it wasn’t for his injury prone career. Well I think despite this he still deserves entrance to the Hall of Fame on the first ballot. 481 home runs, 7 40+ home run seasons 5 45+, and six points away from a .300 career average and 2,000 hits. As a mariners fan how do you feel about Griffey’s career?

I think Griffey still deserves some consideration for the Hall, but unless he has another season where he able to play 100+ games and shows the form he’s capable of, he may go down as a forgotten man.

Watching him patrol centerfield in his youth was incredible. He was by far the best defensive outfielder I’ve ever seen.

Until the shoulder problem this season, his injuries have been in his legs - I think probably from over a decade of pounding on the hard turf in the Kingdome. A real shame…
