It&#039;s one of those words that you rarely hear used anymore, so it doesn&#039;t even hit your grammar radar very often to guilt you into using it.  I don&#039;t catch mis-use of &quot;who&quot; as an object very often in speech, but I tend to catch it pretty regularly when I read it, and it drives me nuts.

Also, while I understand that &quot;Whom would you liked to speak with?&quot; is correct English, I prefer the sound of &quot;With whom would you like to speak?&quot;  I think pre-positioning the preposition turns the ear to thinking that a question is coming before the voice of the question is pitched higher at the end.
