I like the previous CD better than the new one simply because some of the new songs sound too country for me.

on my Norah Jones on Austin City Limits post was ‘endorsement’ enough for me to buy the album from the Apple Music Store this week. I probably wouldn’t have gotten it if I hadn’t received that comment.

Overall a solid album - I’m glad I got it. Some of the songs remind me a little of Lyle Lovett as another country singer with a heavy jazz influence while a few of the songs harken back to K.D. Lang’s ‘Ingenue’. Not great for after lunch though… food coma + flowing music = nap time.
