I stopped by Radio Shack this afternoon to pick up a random cable. While I was checking out, the fellow there asked what cell service I had and if I was happy with it. I told him I had Sprint and that my only complaint was that the coverage was weak in a few areas. He said I should expect an improvement by the end of the summer.
According to him, Sprint and Qwest have a deal that allows Qwest to use Sprints fiber optic network and Sprint can put their equipment on the 250+ Qwest cell towers in the Denver area. Sounds good to me.

Woo Hoo.
From another Sprint user.
My only complaint is that the coverage area is pretty small. I am from South Jersey but if I go to Manhattan my calls are on roaming.

I’d love their service, but once you get off the Interstates around here, good luck getting a signal. :sigh:

As a former Sprint and AT&T Wireless user, I can honestly tell you that VERIZON is BY FAR THE BEST SERVICE EVER… at least in the Bay Area. I also haven’t had a problem in any other states yet either.

I used to have Verizon in the Bay Area as well. They had great coverage but lousy phones and nothing close to Sprint’s Treo 600 and data rates.

Do not ever sign up with sprint I have been trying for amonth to get a replacement phone and have ben bounced from store to customer service 12 times I have wasted over 80 hours of personal time to get his fixed. When I visit store sale reps just laugh at me since i did notsign up for insurance plan and say sure forkover another 700 and we will give you new phone. Do not sign up with sprint unless you want no service and no response for your money
