Tasks Pro™ 1.5 alpha 1

Posted in: Tasks Pro™

I’ve made an alpha of Tasks Pro™ available for customers that want to try out the new features that are done so far. I’m looking forward to getting feedback and listening to discussion of the new feature on the beta mailing list.

Before you ask:

  • No, recurring tasks and task templates are not in yet. (I’m still doing homework on them)
  • Yes, they will still be included in version 1.5
  • Yes, these features (except the mult-user specific ones) will be available in a Tasks 2.5 beta soon-ish.
  • There are no updated docs (yet), because things might change and I don’t want to write them twice.

    Alex,

I would like to be able to cc tasks pro on emails that I send to people.

I would like later to be able to find the email within tasks pro and attach it to a note or a task.

    What do you think?

Creating tasks from e-mail is on the list, but won’t be in the next release.

This is a rather important feature. If we coded it up, would you commit it to the main branch?

I’d be very open to this. I’ve already got a design in mind so I’d want to discuss in detail how it is implemented.
