I’ve released a new alpha of Tasks Pro™ that includes basic support for recurring tasks. Not all of the corner cases are handled as well as they will be by the time version 1.5 is released, but the basics are all there and you can get a good idea of how everything will work.
This is also the first release to support PHP 5 (if it doesn’t work for you, I want to know about it) and fixes a few bugs from 1.5a2.
If you’re an existing customer who would like to play with the pre-release, I highly suggest joining the beta mailing list. More detailed instructions and information have been sent out to the beta mailing list (check the for the info on this release in the archives).

Are recurring tasks something only for Pro or will it make its way to Tasks as well?

Yes, they’ll be in Tasks as well. I’ve mentioned this previously but I should have included it here as well.
