I wish for such views at least once a week :-)

Actually, I remember reading an article in Dr Dobbs Journal about 7 years ago by Alan Cooper that advocated this kind of view. Most of the time, I don't particularly care what I did yesterday or last week, since it already happened.

Sunbird offers a mutliweek view, which is just what Kevin is suggesting. The current week and the coming three weeks. Different months are shaded differently, as seen here. It's definitely my most used view.

I think it would make sense to use the traditional views with the addition of a single option. That being to center the view on today's date.

For example, I would imagine the month view showing the previous week and the coming 3 weeks. Once the current week came to an end the whole calendar would shift up by one and you'd be back where you where. Always having 3 weeks of upcoming info on display. In this case you could use some coloring to differentiate between the months. Does this make sense?

I do sync w/ the Treo's calendar and use it when I'm on the go, but when I'm on the computer anyway I want to get the information here too.

You may not use your Treo's calendar, but I do. They do day/week/week-at-glance/month/year, and I like that set of views. The by-week is great, but I tend to stay in the by-day now that I'm more organized.
