Dodged a Bullet

Posted in: Development

Looks like the time I put into setting up my backup system was time well spent. Today I couldn’t commit code to my Tasks Subversion repository, and ’svnadmin recover’ didn’t work. Um - yeah.

The good news is that the backup that ran early this morning was still working (didn’t need to go to the previous day’s backup or the the CD archives), so I restored from that and I’m now working on getting SVN upgraded - apparently there was an issue with certain database versions.

Praise backups! You didn’t hear the swearing I did a little while ago when I hosed up some stuff on my filesystem, but you saw me take a big ol’ pause in that IMversation. ;)

    Glad you’re not hosed, Alex.
