Upgraded iPod Battery

February 1, 2005

I decided to go with the iPod battery upgrade for now and wait until they come out with something really cool (perhaps in the 5G iPod?) before I upgrade. Getting the case open was a bit of a hassle, but the actual swap was quite easy. It’s charging now.

It should work nicely. – Worked very well for me. And I do really love my little ‘friend’ ;) Didn’t really care much for ‘The Shuffle’ when Jobs presented it at the X. But I’ve held it now, I’ve seen it, I’ve played with it – I’m definitely in love wit it. – Guess it’ll be my next little gadget :-D

I had hoped to get a shuffle on the way through the Sacramento Apple Store this weekend, but they were out. I’ve wished I had a USB drive about 6 times already this week. :)

    iPod Battery Update
After three days, I still have 2 bars left on the initial charge of my new iPod battery. That’s more like it. :)

    Idiot-proof iPod Battery
My new iPod battery has at least a 15 hour run time. How do I know? I’d used it for a few days, then I (accidentally) left it on for 12 hours1 last night and it will still running in the car this morning. Gotta love it.

I’m scared silly about breaking my iPod with a fit it yourself battery.

Just found myBoomBox in the UK that does an iPod Battery Replacement service. Anyone used them?
