Every once in a while, one of my posts will end up ranking high in a search engine; with the result being an ongoing stream of interesting comments. Here are 2 examples:
- CitiMortgage Frustrations
My original complaints seem rather insignificant compared to the horror stories that some of these folks are going through. This post is the 4th top level result on a Google search for ‘citimortgage’ and 58 comments have been added so far.
I’m a little surprised1 I haven’t heard from anyone at CitiMortgage about this.
- Windows Explorer Replacement
#2 on the second page of Google results for ‘windows explorer replacement’ and 36 comments have been added so far.
Every so often, someone points out a new option - pretty cool.
I never would have picked these two posts to get this kind of ongoing attention, but I guess that’s what happens when you keep spewing out content day after day.
- Then again, maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. [back]

I was also interested in this information, so I built a sort-of plugin for this.
I have a good example of it in use:

Of course there are stats packs that hold it in the admin panel, but I thought it would be useful to see on each post…

I notice that you use a footnote in this post. Do you have an easy way to generate footnotes in a post?

Yep, it’s built in to my JS Quicktags. Google is your friend.
