Re-Ordered

Posted in: Technology

I had to cancel my order and place a new one to get things squared away.

  • No more extra video card
  • Added the Bluetooth/Wireless card I’d forgotten the first time
  • Didn’t get the extra RAM (will order from OWC instead)

Better a few days late than wrong. :)

Good to hear you’re saving some money not having to get the extra video card for your 30″ display. I’m sure it’s a nice card, but a bit pricey.

Yeah, the RAM is cheaper from the third parties. The video card is really sweet, as are most gadgets that cost $1650 USD, but a 6600 should be fine. You never know when you might need wireless too, even if you plan on wired.

I hadn’t ordered the $1650 video card, I’d just ordered the 6800 ($400 or so).

The RAM and additional hard drive1 I ordered from Other World Computing showed up today. One delivery down, two to go.

I’m planning to do a software RAID 0. [back]

I got part two of my order today. Too bad I don’t have anything I can drive it with.
