Those little barcode stickers that are on everything you get from Crate and Barrel (like new drinkware) come right off if you soak them in hot water for a few minutes. Trying to get them off any other way is a real bear.

if you get any glue residue, then rubbing with a cloth with a little white spirit on it will take it off.

Goof off works well too. I thought I was going to have to use it on 6 dozen glasses before I discovered the little buggers came right off in water.
