No More Chantico?

Posted in: General

I stopped by Starbucks today - they seem to have discontinued the Chantico. :(

I was there to write my portion of a few thank you notes - hand writing things is not something I’ve done much of lately. My hand was cramping big time and I really missed the “backspace” key.

    Just had me a Chantico.

The girls at the Starbucks closest to Pier 54 *claim* that they have plenty of Chantico, that Starbucks doesn’t *really* discontinue drinks, and that there’s other drinks they make that haven’t been on the menu for ages. Like some sorta green tea somethingorother that officially went away a long time ago.

I told them that ALL the other Starbucks I’ve gone to have said they’d run out. I asked them whether the threat of unleashing extraordinary violence might get the employees at other Starbucks to make me Chantico. They told me, “Maybe.”

They also suggested I just keep coming to them for my fix. Which sounded reasonable, too.
