Go Seahawks

Posted in: Sports

I’ll be rooting for my hometown Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. I’ve never been a huge ‘hawks fan, but in the finest Seattle sports tradition, I’ve jumped on the bandwagon now that they are doing well. :)

There was potential for a conflict if both the Broncos and Seahawks had made it to the Super Bowl. I’d have had to go with the Seahawks had that happened, but I’d have been doing so in a hostile environment here in Denver.

Super Bowl predictions anyone? I say: Seahawks 23, Steelers 16

As a UW graduate, and a former Denverite, I’d have been in the same boat as yourself. I’ve been a long-time Denver fan (currently living in Raider-country!)

I would have felt conflict with them playing against the ‘hawks, as my whole family hails from Seattle.

I also agree with your pick and your score prediction. Go ‘Hawks!

The Steelers will win, the Seahawks don’t have a chance.

LOL. Steelers are going to destroy the Seahawks. The NFC is much weaker than AFC.

    Steelers 31, Seahawks 17

The Seahawks defensive backs and receiver corp is unstoppable. Finally, the Seahawks have such diverse threats that even with a strong Steeler defense, Hasselbeck and Alexander and crew are going to steamroll to a championship.

note: I live in Seattle. I should say that after last season a lot of people here were ready to stop supporting the Hawks management and coaching staff. So way-to-go Holmgren - you made us fans again.

The Seahawks are on a roll with massive momentum from a big win in the last two weeks. Their receiver corp and defensive backs are deep and have multi-threat capability. And then there are Hasselbeck and Alexander - two guys who have matured big this season.

I live in Seattle and have been a fan my whole life. I remember the sting of their loss to the Raiders so long ago. We are going to win this one. Go blue.
