FeedLounge Downtime

FeedLounge was down for about 20 hours last week while we upgraded the back-end systems to roll out a huge performance improvement. This, naturally, generated some unrest amongst our users.

After Scott and I got some rest and discussed the matter, I posted a lengthy response in the thread.

    Basically, we’re moving as much data out of the primary database as possible… lots of memcached data and smaller dbs.

    One word - Interns :) Seriously, you scale out from 1 to 10, you definetly see 10x linear performance increase :)
