I have been using TextMate with my Ruby development. For my Ruby stuff I use Locomotive. It has a built in function to launch the project in TextMate and has given me the ablitiy to build apps exteremely fast. I have been very happy with it. I haven't been keeping up with the new but their road map for the product seems very promising.

I like TextMate over BBEdit purely for its aesthetic qualities (the application itself, and superior syntax highlighting). I'd be interested to hear more details about what you like and dislike about each of them (TextMate, BBEdit and skEdit if you get to it).

When I was looking for a PHP editor for OS X, I was looking for something like NuSphere that had projects, syntax highlighting and syntax completion (in drop down form, not auto-complete). I was pretty disappointed to find that none of the applications I found met all of these requirements, so I'm still "in the market", as it were. Any insights or opinions you had would be greatly appreciated.

On an unrelated note... What are the chances of making your comment box a little wider? I ramble far too much to fit into such a tiny box! :)
