chips are French fries, a pie is a pie (savoury variety), the accent seems a bit off I’m afraid and if he’s a cockney it would be pie and mash not chips, or fish and chips maybe.

As there are no native geckos in Britain, I would guess that he’s Aussie.

According to the Geico ad folks, it’s a cockney accent.

    Emory:

Savoury anything is meaty. So not a sweet pie (like fruit or candied pies), but like beef or pork mash or turkey. mmm. meat.

so – you know that sugar is sweet. vinegar is sour. meat is —- savoury!
