I also love reading Alex's blog. And long live open source! I too would also be interested in any tweaks you come up with, most definitely post them. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I'm not sure if it will be useful to others or not, but I'll probably write it up if/when I get it all working.

Alex: sounds good. :) What sort of back-end stuff are you doing? Something that would be generally useful or ako-specific things?

Randy, probably around the time I stop testing out back-end stuff and start designing the front-end stuff. :)

I agree, open source helps us build the future. The great thing about open source is that it allows everyone to build on other's ideas, true collaboration. I really have no problem with alex's blog in my console, it seems that anyone who blogs would be interested in what he has to say.

Well you can always change your feed for your dashboard. I change mine to what matters most for me (mostly business and finance blogs)

Open Source does indeed rock. It is encouraging to see the success of an Open Source platform such as WP, hopefully inspiring a stream of future Open Source models.

pide: You can edit your wp-admin/index.php to get rid of or add another feed to your dashboard, because as stated, WordPress is open source so you may edit and set up your wordpress installation just the way you want it.

And if you come up with some brilliant or just an idea/ patch to improve WordPress you may submit it to Trac just like Alex did.
