Since I installed Boot Camp, I’ve been rather annoyed that my MacBook boots into Windows unless I hold down the Option key and choose the Mac OS X startup disk.
The other day I mentioned this while chatting with a friend who works at Apple. I believe his answer was something like, “Huh?”
Turns out this is easily fixed by going into the Startup Disk System Preference and choosing (or re-choosing) the Max OS X disk there. Sure enough, that solved the problem.
So just in case anyone else has been suffering through this and was too dense to figure it out - there you go.
Note: I initially installed Boot Camp 1.0 beta, this may be a moot point with later versions.

This is the best single post in the history of mankind.
I spent a day online, in tech support queues, trying to talk to Apple and to Microsoft, all because I couldn’t get Mac OS to load up after I installed Boot Camp.
Then I found your response, and the skies cleared and I have my computer back.
Thanks!
