Very nice Alex, very nice, great appearance, and good integration, love the headerbar, will copy that idea.

Also liking Sandbox, had missed that before when trawling around, it's much better than my attempt to code similar from scratch.

But yes, doing paid work for friends is something I'm not looking forward to...

I will work for friends in a demonstrably clean-edged relationship like what you two had here: Friend A coming to Friend B for expertise on a professional project in Friend B's field to support Friend A's professional image.

In fact, when sog was bogged down, I was loudly wondering in my head when he was going to contact you and get it over with.

Work for friends is generally a bad idea-- as is soliciting work from friends. I've been on both ends of such a relationship. Can't say I'd much want to do it again, though I have a friend who's approached me with a truly can't-miss startup idea... I may just have to grit my teeth and do it. Besides which, I don't like this guy THAT well anyway ;)

Work for family is generally a worse-than-bad idea. Your brother or sister is with you for life-- like it or not. You can't even resign.

:(

Congrats on actually negotiating the dangerous shoals of doing work for a close friend without either one of you getting burned.

(On a side note: Sandbox may actually save me from the family conundrum I find myself in... I have to look at that more closely.)

Looks great!

I know what you are saying about the friends and contracting work. Getting starting (and now, a little beyond 'getting started') I did a lot of work for friends and their families. They wanted to contract me to help me out, but it was extremely important that I give them something good, that they liked.

Now that I am doing work for more than friends I think I need to start realizing what I can actually get for a job and not just the 'breaks' I gave to those who helped me in the beginning.
