You know how headphones have little L and R markings on them?
Headphones are generally shaped to work best on the ear they are designed for, yet I looked around the plane this weekend and saw a bunch of people with their headphones on backwards - sticking out at weird angles.
It’s really funny when they have the in-ear style pointing away from their ear opening and back towards the cup of their ear. Or the big over the ear headphones like the noise canceling Bose mangling their ears with their ear lobes sticking out.

when using buds i tie a knot in the cord of the right earpiece. this allows me to work out which bit goes in which ear without needing to look at the headphones.
btw, thanks for the twitter_tools plugin - a paypal donation shall come your way soon.

I have to wear many headphones on the wrong ears because if i don’t my ears begin to ache after a while (from the pressure on them). I know it is odd but i hope you’re not sitting behind me and laughing at me.

I completely agree with you. I don’t know how many times I see people with headphones on the wrong ears, and I can’t really do anything about it, because it would be lame to tell them to switch them.
