Here’s a solution that helped me. If you are using an “alternate” google userid (not your primary google id) to log into google sync on your smartphone, you’ll only get the default calendar. Try using your primary google id as I just did and VOILA! Amazingly the calendar list in google appears in the sync software like magic.

Google Sync has been nothing but a nightmare. I now use thinkpost.net / it may cost a few dollars a month but it works great! Been headache free….

For what it’s worth, I mysteriously developed a range of problems: sync failure, unable to login, missing calendars. I backup my bb using desktop manager, re-installed the google sync app and re-sync’d. All good….so far.

This might help troubleshoot this problem:

I installed google sync yesterday and both my calendars showed up on my phone. Then I deleted one calendar today, and added 3 new calendars in google.

I then tried to sync the calendars and my phone didn’t recognize the new calendars, but still showed the deleted calendar.

I then logged off from my phone and logged back in again, and now the only calendar that shows is Default. The phone doesn’t recognize any of the other new calendars I added today.

I too only get the default calendar, even though I have 3 calendars in my google account. It doesnt even give me the option of other calendars only the default. This sucks cause I have a calendar for my business with all my scheduled appointments on it. I NEED it back and cant figure out how to get it. This whole mess happened after I had to wipe my phone (thanks t-mobile), so I ended up switching to Verizon, and guess what, Same Thing! It almost seems like we’re missing an update or firmware or something.
All the people that do have their extra calendars showing up…are you syncing with outlook as well???
I’m at loss.

Hi, I see that other people are having the same problem. I only have the option to sync DEFAULT and there are no other options even though I have other calendars. Can someone PLEASE provide specific instructions on how to remedy this issue? THANKS!

Hi, I found your blog very helpful but I am still having problems syncing more than my default calendar. I get to the list of all my calendars, select the one I want, re-sync & I can see its importing all the calendars but when I view my Calendar application it seems to only have sync with the non default calendars in the past & not the events in the future. I have tried everything, please if you can help me!

ok. i’ve been trying to get a straight answer on this. I have both my google calendar and my exchange calendar on my phone. I would like to sync my google calendar, but I do *not* want to sync my exchange calendar to google (due to company policy).
Is this possible?

Wonderful! Thanks so much. Just to clarify for others, once in Options, under Sync these Calendars, scroll to whatever calendar(s) are listed and select it/them. A new screen will come up showing all your calendars. Select the ones you want.

Go to your google sync and sign out. Then sign back in. Go to google sync options, scroll down to the available calendar and select it and it should have any other available calendars to be able to choose from.

I can’t get other calendars either. All I get in Options under “Sync these calendars” is my default calendar. What’s the problem here?

I hate google sync. My times are off 10 hours either way I go. BB –> google or google–> to BB. I have set both google and my BB to EST, GMT and about 10 others attempting to get it to work. GCAL sucks but at least I get the right times. I would love to use it but back to outlook I go. I have sent 5 emails to google and no response.

Im using Verizon with the Blackberry Perl and gmail. Is there a secret to making this work? I enter the required fields in gmail, see my two created calenders within gmail, but when I sync, nothing gets synced either way!
