CustomInk.com Review

I found CustomInk.com through a search when I was looking for a lpace to get some Crowd Favorite t-shirts printed. I liked the ability to choose the t-shirt type and the fact they accepted vector graphics so I decided to do a test run with a small order.

I placed my first order on a Sunday night with standard shipping and an estimated delivery time of about 2 weeks. The confirmation e-mail informed me that since I was using my own uploaded graphics, they told me that I’d need to approve a “proof” of the design. That arrived on Friday via e-mail, along with a phone call and voice mail asking me to please check my e-mail and get back to them with approval the same business day so my order would not be delayed. No problem, the proof looked fine and I approved it.

The shirts arrived in good condition in a plastic bag, and the box has overlapping flaps so you won’t slice a shirt when you open it with a knife. All very nice touches. The ink faded a little after a few washes on that first batch of shirts, but they still look great nearly a year later.

Earlier this year I placed another order, getting three different designs on three different shirt types. This batch had a couple of shirts that had minor printing glitches (a couple were at a slight angle). I contacted the Custom Ink support and they immediately reprinted those for me at no charge. Very good customer service.

I’m getting ready to order another set of shirts soon, and I’ll definitely be ordering them from Custom Ink.

Full Disclosure: Custom Ink has sponsored this site. After I placed this first order, Custom Ink contacted me about placing a link on this site. I was happy to accept the link since I believe they offer a great service.

One final note: though the CustomInk.com site has a little “web 1.0” feel to it, they seem to be pretty plugged in. Matt from CustomInk found my earlier blog post and got in touch with me. Thanks Matt!
