@Alex Thanks for the link to the FAQ. The first entry encapsulates my issue, although I have the same symptoms even with my bit.ly API key entered. I’ll explore this some more and notify the Help Center at some point.

I'm glad you asked. Have you contacted the WordPress HelpCenter for support? They are the support provider for Twitter Tools, and have a number of public FAQs. There is only one confirmed issue in the current release of Twitter Tools, and it is noted there. Perhaps this will be something worth discussing on the podcast, it's certainly a decent data point.

Any information on why Twitter Tools 2.0 and recent versions of WordPress seem buggy? I haven’t been able to get 2.0 to post my Tweets for the life of me, but I see little debugging information.
