@alexkingorg I don’t have a horse in this race, but may I ask which parts of Skitch you found frustrating?
@handcoding Failure to upload and slow upload performance, app hanging and needing to be force quit, lousy sync performance with Evernote, etc.
@alexkingorg Oh, okay. I’ve stuck with one of the older versions, so I wonder if that makes any difference.
But anyway, to each their own.
Done.
have you checkout Little Snapper? I keep the storage on Dropbox so all screenshots are synced across my computers.. just use Dropbox for sharing files.. getting nickeled and dimed to death by all the thin SaaS product development these days..
I haven’t in a while – don’t really feel I need an app for my limited needs, but perhaps I should check it out again.
Glui supports saving to and sharing from your Dropbox account as well, but the URLs are super long.
BTW: Little Snapper has built in web browser to support long pages and also allows for long screen shots of secure pages
@alexkingorg do you use the workflow (combining them) described here? http://t.co/SYrqP1E67R
.@tnorthcutt Yep, exactly. Option+drag to Droplr icon in menubar.
@alexkingorg cool. Looks like it works fine with plain dropbox, but with droplr you get custom domain sharing, yes?
@tnorthcutt I don’t use a custom domain, I just like the shorter URLs compared to Glui’s.
@alexkingorg oh, that makes sense. Thanks!
@alexkingorg I finding cloud.app to work the best because of its simplicity+speed and private urls that I use to point to github zips.
@alexkingorg the custom domains are killer too. Then use little snapper.app for annotations.
@alexkingorg Glui works with Cmd+Shift+4 AND downsizes retina. Thanks! You might enjoy http://t.co/tgwOr7pgj1 for multi-step directions.
