Fellow Colorado web geeks, I made you a t-shirt.

The code that comprises the white stripe is a full, working HTML page with canvas code that draws the Colorado flag. Yes, it’s very meta.

Want one? We’re taking orders for the rest of the month, then we’ll place an order to get them all printed up. These are priced just above cost ($15, plus $5 if you need it shipped) – we’re not trying to make money on them. I initially ordered a batch for my team, but thought others might like it as well. If early response is any indication, I hope to see a few of these around town this summer.

Please be aware that the 6th Annual Denver Zombie Crawl will be taking place this Saturday, October 22 at Skyline Park and along the 16th Street Mall. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. This is an all ages and free event. Arapahoe Street will be closed from 15th to 17th Streets.

It’s amusing to watch companies competing so hard to give you stuff for free. The assault is intense and we become numb to it. The impact of a single free t-shirt becomes lost in the deluge of other free stuff you accept; it becomes so diluted that most of the companies are wasting their money.

I understand that you are startup.io.ly (certain to become the Next Big Thing) and you crave the opportunity to pitch your product/service to me (the influential early adopter who attends SxSW), but your message is getting lost in a sea of noise.

1. I think part of a best friend’s job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn’t want to nap when I was younger.
4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
6. Was learning cursive really necessary?
7. MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. I’m pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voice mail. What did you do after I didn’t answer? Drop the phone and run away?
16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.
17. I keep some people’s phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
18. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.
19. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.
20. Sometimes, I’ll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the heck was going on when I first saw it.
21. I would rather try to carry 10 over-loaded plastic bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.
22. The only time I look forward to a red light is when I’m trying to finish a text.
23. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
24. How many times is it appropriate to say “What?” before you just nod and smile because you still didn’t hear or understand a word they said?
25. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!
26. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.
27. Is it just me or do high school kids get dumber & dumber every year?
28. There’s no worse feeling than that millisecond you’re sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
29. As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate bicyclists.
30. Sometimes I’ll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.
31. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey – but I’d bet my ass everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!

Not really – she’s very different. A whole different OS and the touch screen is different – there isn’t even a joy pad or a stylus. Really, I was thinking of you the whole time. You know no one has a keyboard like you do.

But… what about her slick curves and sexy touch-screen browser.

I won’t lie, the browser is nice – and Google sync integration is really nice and it’s built-in so the set-up is easier, but it’s not better than yours. Your battery life is better too.

But you like her browser better?

Her browser and your browser are just different. Her’s is like iPhone‘s – the touchscreen makes it a different experience.

So you’re seeing iPhone now too?

No, no – I keep telling you we’re just friends. We enjoy hanging out, but she’s not right for me like you are.

I’m telling you, she’s just a good friend. We listen to a lot of podcasts together, play a little Trism, and occasionally do a little browsing – but that’s it.

Sorry babe, I’ve got a dinner with Eos tomorrow. It’s just business, so don’t worry – but I may be home late. Don’t wait up.

Then I worked in the woods as a lumberjack, but I just couldn’t hack it, so they gave me the ax.

After that I tried to be a tailor, but I just wasn’t suited for it … mainly because it was a so-so job.

Next I tried working in a muffler factory but that was too exhausting.

Then I tried to be a chef — figured it would add a little spice too my life but I just didn’t have the thyme.

I attempted to be a deli worker, but any way I sliced it, I couldn’t cut the mustard.

My best job was being a musician, but eventually I found I wasn’t noteworthy.

I studied a long time to become a doctor, but I didn’t have any patience.

Next was a job in a shoe factory; I tried but I just didn’t fit in.

I became a professional fisherman, but discovered that I couldn’t live on my net income.

I managed to get a good job working for a pool maintenance company, but the work was just too draining.

So then I got a job in a workout center, but they said I wasn’t fit for the job.

After many years of trying to find steady work I finally got a job as a historian until I realized there was no future in it.

My last job was working at Starbucks, but I had to quit because it was always the same old grind.

So I retired and I found I am perfect for the job!
