<title>punBB RSS Mod in alexking.org Forums : General Discussion</title>

<description>Topic: punBB RSS Mod

Message: Alex, I have a line break problem with your mod. I have trying to find a solution for the last 24 hours but nothing till now. Please help.&#60;description&#62;&#34;.encode_xml($data).&#34;&#60;/description&#62;The above code displays all the html perfectly in the RSS feed including flash objects, img src, ahref links etc. which is great. But all the post content is jumbled up in a big paragraph i.e. it strips out all the line breaks in the posts. I tried the changes suggested in the punbb topic but they lead to another problem. The line breaks are displayed but then all the html appears only in the post body as code and does not display the flash objects, photos etc. You said that you had modified it to support the formatting but not published an update. I know the solution must be simple but I don't know what it is. Please help! Thanks with expectations.

<description>Topic: Preventing duplicates on upload

Message: I've noticed that unless I'm careful not to use the default directory for uploads, I can create dupes. If I was to set the URL column as a Unique index and make the main insert statement an INSERT IGNORE, would that prevent dupes from being loaded into the images table?

<description>Topic: Drupal Plugin

Message: Alex,I also am very interested in ShareThis for Drupal -- and for Movable Type, as I've written before. I work with a large nonprofit that has a whopper MT enterprise installation and is cranking out Drupal-powered minisites; love to make ShareThis our standard article tool for this functionality. If you (or others reading) have info, would be interested in extending ShareThis (paid work), please content me at iwilker at nrdc dot org. Thanks,Ian

<description>Topic: Drupal Plugin

Message: I'd like to take a stab at porting share-this to Drupal as a module.&#160; Two questions:1. I don't see where share-this is properly licensed as an open source project (GPL, whatever).&#160; I only see a copyright statement (&#34;Copyright (c) 2006 Alex King&#34;) that would indicate the opposite. Most Drupal modules seem to carry a GPL v.2 license (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-2.0.html).&#160; Alex?2. This will be my first attempt at writing a Drupal module.&#160; Google isn't coughing up any articles with tips for doing a WP to Drupal port.&#160; Does anyone lurking know of any such articles anywhere? Thanks, // Craig

<description>Topic: Promlem creating tables

Message: Great...even more problems :rolleyes:Went to the root of the photos folder and got these messages:
MessagesError: The 'gd2' PHP extension is not loaded. To enable the 'gd2' extension, PHP must have been compiled/installed with gd enabled and you must enable it in your PHP.ini file.Error: The 'imagecreatefromjpeg()' function is not enabled. You must have this function enabled for photos to work properly.
I think I'll go to bed and sleep on this...yup. Might be best :p

<description>Topic: Promlem creating tables

Message: Hi, I'm trying to get this to work but I'm stuck at the point where I'm supposed to navigate to the create_table.php. When I do I get this error:
Code:Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in /var/www/photos/objects/class.database_connection.inc.php on line 16
I'm using Ubuntu FF with the LAMP server installed (using this guide: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Apach &#8230; fd5909b8f2), I have gone trough the steps of creating an MySQL user, database and user for that database. I think it was done correctly. The Photos software is installed at /var/www/photos/. The 'tmp' and 'saved_copies' folders and files are writable, I think. The config.inc.php and database.inc.php are edited as they should. As you might have guessed I'm quite new to Linux so I hope you will be patient with me :-)All help is highly appreciated
