Since I started using Google Calendar, I’ve developed a few small tools that I thought others might find useful as well. I’ll be publishing them here.
Google Calendar Alarm-It
When you subscribe to a Google Calendar it does not include any event alarm information. You can subscribe to a Google Calendar through this script and an alarm will be added to scheduled events (not all-day events). Tested with iCal.
Latest release: Version 1.2, 2007-01-22.

When you say “alarm”, what does that mean? An audible sound or a browser popup e.g. 5 min before an event would be ideal – is that what your code does? Does it work on Linux?

Google Calendar is a very useful calendar, but as with all Google products, the calendar is host at Google.com so they get the eyeballs, ad revenue, etc.
If you want an event calendar hosted on your website, try scriptcalendar.com. It’s a javascript calendar that you host on your website to display events to your visitors
