Eagle Ranch Golf Course (Eagle, CO)

Posted in: Courses (CO)

Eagle Ranch Golf Course is an Arnold Palmer designed course about 20 minutes west of Vail. There are five sets of tees, I played from the gold tees (7186 yards) and it was a very good challenge.

There is a stream that meanders along most of the holes and there are ponds on many of the holes as well. On some holes, there is water on one side and OB on the other. I ended up with 6 penalty strokes on the back 9 when I started puching my driver and 3-wood to the right. :(

The course was well maintained and the carts had working GPS (though our cart was s-l-o-w). The greens were superb, moderately fast and very true.

We’ll probably play this course again, but we’ll probably check out some of the other courses in the Vail area first.

    Hi Alex,

I enjoyed reading your review of Eagle Ranch. It sounds very special.

I was wondering if you could leave feedback on this course on my golf course review website GolfCourseRankings.

The website allows golfers to rank each course by a number of criteria: overall golf experience, the value for their money, course difficulty, fairways condition, tee blocks, course design, condition of greens, the service at the proshop, and normal pace of play for an 18-hole round. The site also allows visitors to leave their comments on their impressions of the course.

I would appreciate any feeback you might leave. Thanks.
