Ping i5 First Impressions

Posted in: Equipment

My Ping i5 irons arrived today. I, of course, immediately took them to the range to try them out.

I didn’t fall madly in love with them, but I think that is largely due to me not having hit balls recently and the adjustment period that I’ll need to get used to them. I hit them quite a bit higher than my Adams GT’s, and I hit more of a draw with them - likely due to the increased offset and the upright lie angle.

They do feel nice and I did hit some good shots with them. I’m looking forward to getting more comfortable with them and getting them out on the course.
