MacGregor MacTec NVG2 Tour

Posted in: Equipment

I let myself get talked into buying a MacGregor MacTec NVG2 Tour driver at the golf store. It is the 9 degree loft head and has a Fujikara Speeder shaft.

I used it for one round and returned it. This just isn’t the club for me.

I had no feel at all of the ball on the clubface and couldn’t get the thing in the fairway reliably - generally hooking it left.

I exchanged it for a TaylorMade r7 425, which I love so far. Review forthcoming.

Bad luck with the NVG2 Tour Mac. I bought an NVG2 around 3 weeks ago and have never hit bigger drives in my life (11 hndcp). No regrets bud - you can have your R7.
