  1. Are "Smarter" Pop Up/Under Ads Coming?

One of the main reasons I use Mozilla based browsers is the pop-up blocking ability. Today I went to nba.com in Phoenix and the page refused to load, it was caught in some loop and the little this-page-is-trying-to-open-a-pop-up-window icon was going nuts. The page loads ok in Mozilla and Chimera with pop-up blocking enabled so…

  2. Well this is just great…

It appears I have a crybaby on my fantasy basketball team… it is getting harder and harder for me to enjoy NBA basketball these days, and it’s a shame because there are a lot of great players (and good people) in the game right now – there’s just too much of this crap.

  3. PHP at Yahoo!

I’ve been using PHP for the last few years and I’ve been very pleased with it as my primary web development platform. I didn’t realize that

  4. Satisfaction

I’d gotten a bit behind in entering photos in my own gallery database but this weekend I caught up and now have a big fat 0 photos that still need details. That includes 80+ photos that I took at Scott’s birthday party Saturday night. That was my first real experience shooting with a flash (thanks…

  5. IHateBillWalton.com

NBA basketball fans may enjoy taking a look at a newly updated ihatebillwalton.com. Walton has almost come full circle to me – he’s such a caricature of himself now, it’s hard for me not to just laugh at him.

  6. HTML email rant

Call me old-fashioned but I do prefer text-only email, and it should be viewed in a nice mono-space font like courier or monaco so indenting and formatting with spaces can be easily done. Here is a nice rant on HTML email from someone who has developed a web based email client.

  7. Chimera 0.6 rocks

Chimera 0.6 has just surpassed Mozilla as my browser of choice on Mac OS X. The previous versions of Chimera showed promise but ran really slowly on my G4 400mhz PowerBook… version 0.6 of this thing is freakin’ fast. Now if they can just get Type Ahead Find in there along with accesskey support and…

  8. "The kids won’t quit."

I’ve now watched 3 Golden State Warriors games this year including going to the opening night win against San Antonio. They aren’t a good team yet, but they are a darn fun team to watch. The new head coach has them playing hard and since they’ve been so bad for so long, they have a…

  9. More b2 Hacking

I’ve added some more features to my blog here. The navigation arrows around the month name in the calendar are new, and if there are new comments or new posts since your last visit, they will be indicated by this little image: . This stuff is available over in the software section. Packaging all this…

  10. gallery 3.1 released

I’ve been using this version of gallery for the last month or two and haven’t found any problems – not that their aren’t any bugs to find, but I can use some help finding them. 🙂 I’ve got a bunch of photos to enter details about in my own database and some features to complete…

  11. Officially Launched: alexking.org

I didn’t get quite everything done that I wanted to, but the structure and enough content is there to go ahead and put the site live today on schedule. Here goes nothing… This post is part of the thread: Career – an ongoing story on this site. View the thread timeline for more context on…
