  1. tasks 1.7.5b4 released

I’ve released tasks 1.7.5 beta 4. This includes more complete language files and has some minor tweaks and changes. The demo is updated. This post is part of the project: Tasks Pro™. View the project timeline for more context on this post.

  2. Playoff Previews

I’ve been reading some blogs that have featured really great playoff preview entries. From Aaron’s Baseball Blog: A’s vs. Red Sox Twins vs. Yankees Giants vs. Marlins Aaron has also done some nice award write-ups: MVP Award Cy Young Award Rookie of the Year From Universal Baseball Blog: Braves vs. Cubs A’s vs. Red Sox…

  3. iPod Wish List Part II

I forgot to mention my #1 wish for the iPod: I want the shuffle mode options to include a "Random (each song once)" mode. The iPod seems to fall in love with certain songs/artists from time to time and ignore others. An option to play through the selected playlist/artist/album/etc. in random order while only playing…

  4. Around the web

Another very public Windows Oops. And in case anyone missed this. Jason Stark has written one of the worst baseball articles I’ve ever read. As a self-confessed gearhead , I really enjoy articles like this one that talk about organizing all those camera goodies. Jason found a couple good Matrix comics. I love it when…

  5. More WordPress Dev.

I’ve been working on extending password protection to the comments and comments RSS feed. The code looks right now, but on one of my test installs it isn’t taking the password. Urgh, more debugging. 🙁 UPDATE: All working happily now and checked in.

  6. Praise for Feedster

I spent some time playing with Feedster last night. There are some very, very cool things going on over there. The ones that really grabbed me were: Filtering searches to include only your blog, only your blog and other blogs in your OPML file, or excluding your blog. Being able to subscribe to an RSS…

  7. iPod Wish List

Overall, I’ve been quite pleased with my iPod. However, like most tech-heads, I do have my power user features I’d like to see. I leave my iPod on shuffle by song all the time; I basically treat it as a personal radio. I like being surprised with what the next song will be – often…

  8. PHP Doc System 1.1 Released

I’ve done some minor clean-up on PHP Doc System and released it as version 1.1. I’ve updated my tasks documentation and my photos documentation to use the latest version. Now you can see when each page in the docs was last modified. This post is part of the project: PHP Doc System. View the project…

  9. Yahoo Messenger Changes

Yahoo changed their IM protocol or ports orsomething. If you are using Gaim or Fire, make sure you grab the latest version (Gaim 0.69, Fire 0.32.e) or you won’t be able to connect. UPDATE: It seems that Gaim 0.69 still doesn’t do the trick. Thread here. UPDATE #2: Fire’s suffering from the same problem Gaim…

  10. Good TV Tonight

The best shows on TV are having their season premier tonight: Ed, The West Wing and Law & Order. The West Wing is the only show on TV that I actually make a point to watch… love the TiVo. 🙂

  11. tasks 1.7.5b3 released

Whoops, that fix for the iCalendar URL somehow didn’t make it into the beta 2 release (and people aren’t reading the included documentation with how to subscribe to the iCalendar file) so I’ve released tasks 1.7.5 beta 3. This also includes complete Korean, Italian and German language files and some misc. changes. This post is…
