The biggest change in my golf game last year was the ability to consistently be in play, and often in the fairway, off the tee. I made a subtle change to narrow my stance a little and I attribute that as a key to my new driving consistency.
My stance was too wide before, and as a result I would often be hanging back on my back foot (pulls, hooks) or lunging at the ball (pushes, slices). My narrowing my stance, I am keeping centered over the ball better with less lateral motion.
If you’re fighting a two-way miss, you might take a look at the width of your stance.
Alex, I just bought the home version of V1 golf software. You can upload your swing and if you desire you can submit to one of hundreds of instructors. I’ve never taken a lesson but had a free trial and it was sweet. The instructor gave me some tips and some drills.
Let’s get out on the links soon.
