I’ve been using the same putter for the last 2+ years – which is a pretty long time for me. One of the things I initially liked about the putter was the soft, tacky Winn grip that let me hold the putter very lightly and still feel tht I had good control over it.

Recently I finally noticed that the putter grip had lost it’s tackiness and was now rather slick. This also coincided with some less-than-stellar putting rounds. I replaced the putter grip a week back (with a similar grip to the original) and I magically got some of my touch back.

Maybe it’s a placebo, but you can bet I’ll be replacing my grip annually going forward.
