  1. Listen to your RSS feeds on your iPod!

I have a reasonably long list of sites I’ve subscribed to via RSS, I have a 25 minute commute twice a day, I have NetNewsWire which includes text-to-speech, I have iTunes which supports playlists, I have AppleScript which can talk to NetNewsWire and iTunes and I have an iPod. With all of this, I should…

  2. Upgrading

In the 3.5 version of photos, I will be requiring previous users run an upgrade script to add additional EXIF data from the photos into the database (to allow searching on that data). I ran it last night on my 3500 photos. I used the ‘all at once’ option and it ran for 18 minutes…

  3. b2 to become WordPress

Michel is turning over the reins to Matt and Mike at the previously mentioned WordPress to continue b2 development. I think these guys are going to do a great job and I look forward to migrating to WordPress in the next couple of months. I imagine (hope) some of the functionality from my b2 hacks…

  4. Mobile Accessible Bookmarks

Thanks to Safari Bookmark Exchanger and SafariToHTML, I now have my Camino bookmarks on my web site where I can browse them conveniently from my Treo. I had been considering writing a script to create similar HTML output (maintaining the folder structure) for some time but never got around to it – now I don’t…

  5. Annika, Round 1

I watched a bit of Annika Sorenstam’s first round today at the Colonial. I was extremely impressed with the way she drove the ball and hit her long iron and fairway metal approach shots. I think she played about as well as she is capable of – a couple better putts and she’d be under…

  6. Traffic

PHP Doc System was the top item on the HotScripts PHP page today which resulted in a ton of traffic. I had over 850 1050 (updated 10:30pm) visits from there alone, add another 450 from Freshmeat and you’ve got a lot of people breezing through my site. It resulted in 250 downloads of PHP Doc…

  7. Cable modem restored…

As I mentioned previously, my cable modem has been down for a week. The tech was due to come out this morning, but I just tried resetting it again and voila, it worked. I guess the techs I talked to the first couple times I called that said it was just an outage in the…

  8. Dutch and Korean

I’ve received Dutch and Korean translation files, they’ll be included in the next beta release. Anyone out there have experience with JavaScript and multi-byte languages? I may have a little bug. 🙂 This post is part of the project: Tasks Pro™. View the project timeline for more context on this post.

  9. PHP Doc System 1.0 released

I’ve added a page for it to my site, just click on PHP Doc System in the software section. I’m going to try running all the support and everything through the SourceForge project. If you’d like to contribute, head on over there and get to work. 🙂 This post is part of the project: PHP…

  10. PHP Doc System

I’m almost ready to put up version 1.0 of PHP Doc System, as I touched on in this post. It will be released under GPL and I’ve registered it as a project on SourceForge.net. This post is part of the project: PHP Doc System. View the project timeline for more context on this post.

  11. RSS Bug Fixed

I was setting the item guid incorrectly in my Site News RSS feed. This made all of the items appear to have been updated when in reality there was just one new entry. Anyway, it’s fixed.

  12. Camino

Camino is still outclassing Safari if you ask me. The nightly builds now have type-ahead-find plus support for the title attribute (hover help, useful for web apps) and many fewer rendering bugs than Safari. Keep up the good work gang. Now if only the downloads window was dockable like it is in Firebird…

  13. tasks 1.6b4 released

I’ve posted tasks version 1.6b4 for download and also put up an on-line demo. This release includes English, French and German languages. You can use the language drop down in the demo to try out the different languages. I plan to release a new beta each week for the next couple of weeks before doing…

  14. version 3.5 beta testers wanted

I’m about ready to post a public beta of photos version 3.5. I’d like to sanity check it on a small group of testers for anything I may have missed before I release the public beta. I’d like to have both a few new testers and a few upgrading testers. If you’re interested, let me…
