Any recommendations for internet enabled whiteboard software?
Ideally cross-platform (and free), doesn’t have to be web based.

By whiteboard software, do you mean an application that allows multiple people to edit the same document at the same time? Different than a wiki?
If so, I am looking for the same thing. I’ll let you know if I find anything.
Chris, I can use SubEthaEdit for having multiple people work on the same document.
I’m talking about a program like Mac/MS Paint where I can draw, type, etc. on a virtual whiteboard.
I’ve heard of a Jabber client that has whiteboarding built-in. Don’t remember if it was cross-platform or not. Try searching around Jabber.org and see if anything turns up.
this year a new product was released by zengobi called “Curio”. It is an electronic whiteboard software with very sophisticated options for entering files, pictures etc. plus Internet Search features called “Sleuth”. Price is 99$, 75$ Academic.
It seems innovative and is definitely worth looking at.

That looks great except it is Mac OS X only – not cross plaform.
Hi, I’m looking for electronic whiteboard software too. Something like MSN Messengers Whiteboard, except for some reason I can’t get that too work. Doesn’t want to connect even after I setup the ports.. SO annoying. Hopefully someone can come up with something. Be good if it was open src too 🙂
This is a pretty old entry, but on the off-chance you’re still looking for something, I found a really cool site over at http://www.imaginationcubed.com — it’s Flash based and apparently allows multiple users to collaborate on the same drawing.
