For the first time in months, I took the whole weekend off. I went to the Rockies/Phillies game on Saturday and went golfing today. Of course there was plenty of boxes to unpack and stuff to set up around the house, but it was definitely good to get a little time away from the computer. I’ve got plenty to do this week to make up for it. 🙂
I’ve got three Phillies on my fantasy baseball team, Bobby Abreu (my 4th round pick in the first draft of my keeper league), Mike Lieberthal and Marlon Byrd. Fantasy baseball owners always smile when they have players coming to Coors Field; on Saturday the Phillies put up 16 runs against the Rockies. Abreu was right in the middle of the action: 3 for 3 with two walks, a double and a home run, 4 runs scored, 5 RBIs and a stolen base – it was pretty impressive performance.
Here are some photos from the game; both teams turned a few double plays which are always good photos opps. 😎
You got some great photos at that game! How close were you/what zoom did you use? Can’t decide which one I like most, the Jimmy Rollins caught my eye, but I prefer the “Out at first” one 🙂
Hi Donncha. I was about 30 rows back and I shot most of these at about 275mm. Almost all of my baseball shots have been taken with a Canon 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 IS. These were mostly taken on ISO 400, shutter speed 1/1000-1/1500, f/8.0.
