We went for a hike in Golden Gate Canyon (ironic, moving from the Bay Area) in Golden, CO this weekend and I took a few photos. I’m not a big fan of hiking (especially when I’m out of shape like I am now), but I do like having the photos when I get home.
Here are some of the better shots I ended up with. A few of these are destined to become wallpaper
WOW!! One or 2 are “good”
I have been looking around your site for info on the camera you have, i love the pics it takes, and I was just curious what make/model it is. I’m assuming its an expensive on, as the cam i have doesnt have fstop settings and what not.
I am headed out to Golden on friday (7/9) and will have a window of three hours. Is Golden Gate canyon a worthy endeavor for a hike?
I didn’t get to the Canyon, sorry.
Josh: it’s not the camera, it’s the photographer. 😉
local folks! I love it!
Good God, another Californian! Between people from your state, Texas, Florida, Missouri, we’ve had enough of this lets-move-to-colorado-because-it’s-the-“in”-thing-to-do mentality. In the 80s, no one here would have thought twice if someone said they moved here from Calif., we’d have said “hi!”. But in the past dozen years or so, you people are just ridiculous. You act as you do in California…self-centered, rude, etc, etc. (yes, a generalization, but a very accurate one for most of you). It’s like having tourists live in our backyard. And why move from such a gorgeous place as the San Francisco area, anyway? GO HOME!
For those of you who have never been hiking I would like to say …you are missing a great life experience. There is no better feeling of freedom and fun way to keep in shape as hiking. At first it may seem tough to know exactly where to begin but once you hit the trails and meet other hikers you will learn the ropes very quickly.
