We went and visited our puppy last night, what a cutie. Naturally, we took more photos. 🙂
She’s grown quite a bit since we saw her last week and her eyes have opened. At the moment, it looks like she’ll have blue eyes. I got photos with each eye open enough that I could see the blue clearly. Her legs can’t quite support her weight yet, but she squirms and crawls around pretty good.
We bought some dog raising/training books last weekend that discussed the importance of early socialization with other dogs and with both adults and children. After reading these, we really appreciate the environment the breeders have for these pups. They have a number of dogs as well as children of their own that play with the puppies. It’s no accident that their dogs are so mild mannered.

Check out the monks of new skete who have written some great books on training and living with dogs.

Good luck with the puppy–she’s a cutie.
Awwww. Seriously, those are some cute pictures. Makes me wish my wife and I could get a dog right now. 🙂
Absolutely, utterly cute.
this is so cute!! 🙂
She’s beautiful.
Stumbling Puppy
Last night we made our weekly trip to visit our puppy. She’s growing really quickly!
All of the puppies are stumbling around now. They can stand and sit, but walking forward is a bit of a challenge for some of them. They tend to walk sideways and…
I’ve never heard of this precious puppy type. How large will she get? She is darling.
She’ll be 15-25 lbs, most likely 15-20. Full size Aussies (not the ‘miniature’ or North American Shepherd breed) are commonly 40+ lbs.
in that “naptime” pic, she looks like she’s got her paw in her little mouth. [melt again]
