With baseball season upon us, I plan to do more of my evening work relaxing in front of the TV. 🙂
I currently use an older generation IcePad (a rebranded Targus product I think). It is great for travel (and I’ll continue to use it for travel) since it folds up, but it doesn’t do much to keep the heat from getting through to my legs.
I’m considering the iLap (Jason recommends it and it certainly looks cool) and the Lapinator (highly recommended by The Gadgeteer). Unfortunately neither qualify for Amazon prime. 🙁
Anyone have any insights on either product for me?
I’ve had an iLap for about 6 months, and it takes 10 degrees off the temperature my 15″ PowerBook runs at.
I use it mostly at my desk, but this is because I am braindead, and can’t figure out why my wireless connection isn’t working. I was really looking forward to “working” while watching the NCAA Basketball Tournament!
Even though I use it lap-wise less, it’s certainly a nice product for that, too.
I like it well enough that I would buy this product again.
The iLap looks like it would only work if you’re sitting both feet on the ground. If you ever sit with one leg over the other and the laptop on it I can envision the rear bar getting in the way.
I just use a pillow. 🙂
