When I upgraded to Tiger, it blew away all the changes I’d made to my httpd.conf and /etc/hosts files – just FYI.
I thought it made a copy of httpd.conf and kept it in the same dir… or maybe that’s just in minor upgrades? It’s worth a check I guess…
Interesting – it looks like it did create an httpd.conf.applesaved, but that file has a modification date of 02/01/05 so I didn’t realize it was the most recent copy.
I had a .applesaved and .bak in my directory both with a modification date of the same time, noteably the same time the new httpd.conf was timestamped. I tried renaming the httpd.conf.bak to httpd.conf and it didn’t seem to work. I didn’t check to see what the .applesaved file looked like.
