I uesd to order things online mainly as a last resort – it just doesn’t satisfy the need for instant gratification. 🙂
However, since I’ve become self-employed I’m starting to order online more and more often. Taking an hour for lunch used to be a santiy preserving necessity, now it seems like a luxury I don’t have time for.
My time is becoming more and more valuable to me… plus, it’s more rare that I’ll br driving by a store that would have what I need.
Amen! 😀
I like instant gratification sometimes (like when I bought my laptop), but most of the time, it’s just so much easier to order online. Plus, I hate driving around here.
Maybe driving wouldn’t be so bad if there weren’t so many SUVs blocking my view…or nearly running me off the road…but usually, I’ve got so many things going on that I just don’t have time to drive by the store.
too true! I have to admit, it might actually be better if I left my basement office once in a while (you know, to see sunlight and stuff) … but leaving just to hit a computer store for Tiger seemed like a waste.
Amazon had it for cheaper anyway. Now, if I could only spare the time to upgrade my powerbook…
None of my local stores are up to date anyway. I can either buy it online and wait 3-5 working days or go into a store and ask them to order it in then go back and pick it up 3-4 weeks later.
That’s the experience I had with my iBook anyway.
I’ve come to prefer buying online. No rude people in line, no rude clerks, no people trying to change my mind about what to buy … basically no people. 😛 Plus, saves on gas for me 🙂
