I’ve got an upcoming trip to Italy (Florence and Rome) for a friend’s wedding and I’d like to stay in a hotel that has wifi (or some kind of internet access, a shared computer in the hotel lobby would be better than nothing) but doesn’t cost and arm and a leg. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Alex – stayed here 18 months ago. It is great – two blocks from the Duomo. Has internet access in each room. The young couple that run it are very nice and helpful.

[…] It also looks like there’s a chance that I could use a T-Mobile Blackberry while I’m in Europe – that would be quite handy. […]
Not sure how your trip went and if you had wi-fi. For future reference.
One of the best sites to identify locations where there’s publich WiFi is Jiwire.com. As you can see, “With 143,793 free and paid WiFi hotspots in 134 countries, JiWire’s WiFi Hotspot Finder makes it easy to locate wireless Internet access around the globe.” Check it out.
