I’ll be in Phoenix this weekend, getting a break from the rough winter we’ve had here in Colorado. Looks like the weather should be quite nice. 🙂
I’ve been working hard to get everything done before I leave and I actually did so this afternoon. Now I can relax all weekend without anything hanging over my head. This is a very good thing since I’m starting a big project on Monday,
I also picked up a Canon SD630 and a nice big SD card for the trip. I chose the SD630 in part because it will shoot movies at 320×240 pixel movies at 60 frames/second and one of the things I want to do with the camera is get a few videos of my golf swing without lugging around the video camera.
We’ll see how well it works. If I get anything worthwhile, I’ll post it when I get back.
I have the Canon SD 550 small digital camera. The 60 FPS are AWESOME for doing exactly what you’re talking about. It works really well and 10x better than a 29.97 FPS video camera. And since it plays it back, and can do frame by frame, it’s even handy on the course (though illegal obviously, if you’re playing a serious round).
Let me know how you manage to get a shot of your golf swing while you are holding the camera.
Have fun.
Welcome to Phoenix. A little windy, but not too bad this weekend.
The camera did well – I’m really pleased with what it can do.
