Recent travels have had me in a few different rental cars. My reviews:
- Chrysler Crossfire – topless fun
- Dodge Nitro – underpowered unresponsive
- Jeep Liberty – surprisingly satisfactory

Do any of those actually get decent gas mileage? You needed to rent a Nitro? Does anyone ever need to rent a Nitro?:)
I don’t know about you, but I take what they give me when I show up at the rental counter – hoping it won’t be a mini van.
I usually get a minivan for my annual Alta trip, it’s the best way to carry 6 people + gear short of a Suburban.
Chevy Equinox – 15% SUV
Let’s see, I’ve had a lot of rentals in my days:
Chrysler Sebring – Dated crap
Chrysler Sebring Convertible – Open crap
Ford Taurus – White trash (the car was actually white)
Pontiac Vibe – Curiously capacious
Chevrolet HHR – Shortlasting fun
Jeep Liberty – Back pain
Jeep Grand Cherokee – Nice ride
Chevrolet Malibu – Amazing delight
Chrysler Magnum – Great image
Chrysler Pacific – Road eater
Chrysler 300C – Pimp Daddy
I think that’s about it… My fav’s where the last three. In about three weeks I will be flying into Denver International from Amsterdam and I rented a luxury class to drive up to Seattle with.
I’m hoping for a good car this time around…
